No stranger to fashion, celebrity stylist, ZERINA AKERS’ career began at W Magazine, interning in the fashion closet. While pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing from L.I.M., Akers worked under some of fashion’s most accomplished stylists and editors before venturing off to style personal clients and ad campaigns. Throughout the trajectory of her career, Akers has proven to be an extremely passionate risk taker. Always willing to go against the grain, she loves experimenting, drawing inspiration from nature or history and mixing larger, well-known designers with emerging brands. For Akers, fashion is not only about luxury; it’s about inspiring her clients to express their authentic selves. Akers’ has been featured in publications such as Vogue, Forbes, Business of Fashion, and Essence to name a few. She is currently the personal stylist and wardrobe curator for Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. Her impressive client list also includes Chloe X Halle, Neicy Nash, in addition to many others. Some of Akers’ notable accomplishments include, but are not limited to, Beyoncé’s world famous On The Run II tour, both the “Formation” and “Ape Sh*t” music videos, Chloe X Halle’s ‘The Kids Are Alright’ film, and most recently, being recognized as one of five The Hollywood Reporter’s ‘Stylists & Stars’ list. Whether she's helping clients build a strong closet, searching for new designers, or rebranding commercial style, Akers continues to impress the industry with her unparalleled talent.
