Bio

Kim Kimble is a third-generation hairstylist, having started as a shampoo girl at the family salon in Los Angeles. She trained professionally at both Vidal Sassoon Academy and Dudley Cosmetology University. In 1995, Kim opened her first salon in Los Angeles, Phaze II. Her subsequent work with Halle Berry in the film B*A*P*S led to additional jobs in the entertainment industry, including Brandy in Cinderella and Beyoncé in Austin Powers: Goldmember. Kim has since served as primary hairstylist on all of Beyoncé’s film, television and music projects in addition to working with broad roster of celebrity clientele including Zendaya, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Shakira and Mary J. Blige.

In 2000, Kim opened her second salon, Epiphany Hair Studio, in West Hollywood and launched Kimble Beauty, a full range hair care line designed to address the needs of women of color with various hair textures. In 2013, she developed K2 Beauty, a line of professional hair care products designed to augment the Kimble Beauty brand.

Kim’s work has been featured in Vogue, CR Fashion Book, Vanity Fair, Harper's Bazaar, ELLE and Allure, and she has collaborated with renowned photographers including Patrick Demarchelier, David LaChapelle, Tyler Mitchell, Mario Testino, Gilles Bensimon and Annie Leibovitz. Her innovative styling techniques have also appeared in international ad campaigns for brands including Neutrogena, Nike, CoverGirl, L’Oréal and Pepsi.
