Bio
It is B. Åkerlund’s love of fashion design that drove her at the age of 14 from her native Stockholm, Sweden to Los Angeles. B. began thriving in the community upon collaborating with noteworthy directors such as Jonas Akerlund, Tony Scott, Paul Hunter, David LaChapelle, and Traktor. Her signature “over the top” look has attracted an assortment of today’s most daring fashion-forward musicians to her client list: Madonna, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Blondie, and The Black Eyed Peas.
B. moves easily between the world of film, fashion, and music bringing a diverse appreciation for individualism. It’s this sensitivity to stylistic individualism that attracted B. to become an institution of her own defined fashion style. Her success is based on her freedom to experiment and her ability to transform her visions into reality on screen and on editorial pages. In 2015, B. founded The Residency Experience, a premiere fashion showroom for designers, with co-founder Kent Belden.
